HomeMy WebLinkAbout031226-05.1DESIGN REVIEW BOARD STAFF REPORT 5.1 TO: Design Review Board Members March 12, 2026 SUBJECT: Review and approve the architecture and color and material board for Development Plan request DEV25-0006 to allow the construction of a new front porch patio cover for Norm’s Place and Tree Removal Permit request TR26-0006 to remove one Town-protected 11” Sycamore tree located at 356 Hartz Ave. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project includes a Development Plan request (DEV25-0006) to review architectural elevations, and colors and materials for a new 1,093 +/- square foot patio cover for Norm’s Place which would front along Hartz Ave. A Tree Removal Permit request (TR26- 0006) is required to allow the removal of one Town-Protected 11” Sycamore tree. EVALUATION Architecture •The project includes a 1,093 square foot front patio cover consisting of a dark grey standing seam metal roof, black wooden posts, and black metal railings. Trees •One Town-protected tree, an 11” Sycamore would be removed to allow for the construction of the patio cover. As this is a Town-protected tree, a Tree Removal permit would need to be approved by the Town prior to removal. Two other 24” and 27” Town-protected Sycamore trees would remain.
