SUBJECT: Annual Town Council and Commission Workshop and Dinner
On behalf of the Town Council, we warmly invite you to the Annual Town Council
and Commission Workshop. We deeply value your service to the Town of Danville
and the time, thoughtfulness, and care you bring to your respective roles. As
appointed subject-matter experts and ambassadors to the community, your
contributions meaningfully shape the decisions and direction of our Town.
This year’s workshop will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026,
at the Bay Club Crow Canyon Country Club, 711 Silver Lake Drive. Upon arrival,
please check in with Town staff to receive your table assignment. Following the
workshop, we will gather in the adjoining room at 6:30 p.m. for dinner and continued
conversation.
Mayor Arnerich will open the meeting with welcoming remarks, followed by
introductions of each commission, board, and designated appointees. This is always
a special opportunity to recognize returning members and warmly welcome those
who are new to the Town family.
The workshop is designed to keep you informed about where we are today and where
we are headed. As key partners in governance and trusted voices in the community,
your understanding of current priorities and upcoming initiatives is essential. The
program will include:
• A mid-year fiscal snapshot of the Town’s Operating Budget
• A look ahead at major capital projects planned for the next two years
• An update on the Diablo Road Trail and planned construction activities
• An introduction of a new concept focused on bringing more foot traffic to the
Downtown during the weekdays
• An interactive conversation on sustaining community events in Danville
Workshop materials are intended to inform participants of current activities and
priorities for the Town Council and each of our appointed bodies, as well as
background information that may be of interest. This includes a summary of the roles
and responsibilities of the Town Council, Town Commissions and Town staff, and
Town Council Guidelines that describe protocols by which councilmembers and
appointees are expected to operate.
Please take some time to review the material in advance so that we can provide
additional information or respond to any questions you may have at the workshop.
