December 11, 2025
1. CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Danville Design Review Board was called to order at 5:00
p.m., at the Town Offices, 500 La Gonda Way, Danville, CA.
Board Attendance: Robert Combs, Chair
Michaela Luxton, Board Member
Lou Palandrani, Board Member
Chris Trujillo, Vice Chair
Kevin Wong, Board Member
Absent: Joel Atwater, Alternate Board Member
Staff Attendance: David Crompton, Chief of Planning
2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA
There were no changes.
3. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN
There were no public comments.
4. ACTION ITEMS
4.1 Consider approval of the Meeting Summary from the Design Review Board
regular meeting of November 13, 2025.
Board Member Trujillo made a motion to approve the November 13, 2025,
Summary of Actions, which was seconded by Board Member Palandrani.
Motion carried 5-0-0-1; Board Member Atwater absent
5. DESIGN REVIEW ITEMS

5.1 Review and approve a revised Master Sign Program for the mixed-use building
at 600 Hartz Avenue and signage for Sweetgreen restaurant (Project Planner:
David Crompton)
David Crompton, Chief of Planning, introduced the project and presented the
staff report.
David Behrens, Tenant, discussed the project and answered questions from
Design Review Board Members.
Board Members discussed the placement, number, and timing of the
illumination of the proposed signs. It was determined that Sweetgreen may
have two blade signs in addition to a wall sign over the front door and any
illuminated signs would not remain light one hour past closing.
Board Member Trujillo made a motion to approve the project, which was
seconded by Board Member Palandrani.
Motion carried 5-0-0-1
6. REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS
David Crompton, Chief of Planning, reported on the remediation status of The Ivy
development at 828 Diablo Road, the application status of the Village Apartments at
107 Town and Country Drive, the application status of the redevelopment of
Community Presbyterian Church at 222 West El Pintado, the discussion of a boutique
hotel at 185 Front Street, and the construction of the new office building located at 212
Front Street.
7. ADJOURNMENT
The regular meeting of the Danville Design Review Board adjourned at 5:19 PM.
