To Whom It May Concern, I was made aware of the below email and am writing to express my disappointment. The insinuation that residents of Danville will be any less safe with the introduction of retail cannabis is misleading and misinformed. It was my understanding that the leaders of the town would be fair, unbiased and consider the facts before making a decision on the matter. The below email and insinuation are anything but unbiased, factual and honestly feels like an attempt to bully or scare residents without adding any context that the matter at hand impacts a current Danville business owner and contributor to the community. America's Finest was a safe and responsible establishment. It catered to the residents of Danville and the surrounding areas without incident for -5 years. To imply the re-opening of the store under a new license simply points to the lack of education on the issue and law. The Facts: The Law Changed  The Owner and His Commitment to the Town Remains Steadfast  He is a CURRENT Danville Business Owner, not an outsider trying to enter the community or  introduce something new. The Products Remain the Same though are labeled differently (due to the law changing)  There will be More Security and More Oversight than Before, Including Product Tracing and  Age Requirements to Purchase There was ZERO incident of high school or underage residents attempting to enter America's  Finest to buy products America's Finest was in fact able carry products with more THC levels than would be allowed  to be sold under the new law and requirements to date - there was zero incident or concern from the town prior I'd also like to point out that America's Finest had a marijuana leaf on their store window prior to being forced to close their doors. Neither the current mayor nor any other member of the Town Council took issue with displaying it in the window, or took issue with the fake marijuana plants visibly displayed on shelves within the store. 1 The email below feels targeted and misinformed.
