Dear Mayor and Members of the Town Council, I’m a Danville resident of five years and a parent of two young children at Vista Grande Elementary. I respectfully urge the Town to continue exploring regulated cannabis retail and to support a path forward for responsible local businesses like America’s Finest Hemp Co. I’ve been extremely impressed with the owners’ knowledge, professionalism, and positive community impact. Allowing regulated retail would not attract unwanted patrons - it would give residents of Danville and neighboring cities (Alamo, Walnut Creek, San Ramon) safer access to products that help with anxiety, depression, and sleep, reducing reliance on more harmful substances. This would also support local restaurants and shops by keeping foot traffic and spending in downtown Danville. My father-in-law, a cancer survivor and recovering alcoholic, relied on America’s Finest Hemp Co. for anxiety and sleep support; since the shop closed he must drive to Martinez for care. Keeping options local matters for our people and our health. Please take a progressive, thoughtful approach so our community benefits responsibly. Thank you for your consideration.
