Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission Regular Meeting SUMMARY OF ACTIONS December 10, 2025 1. CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Danville Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission was called to order by Vice Chair Lindsey at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, Danville, CA. Present: Joe Lindsey, Vice Chair Kevin Donovan, Commissioner Jane Joyce, Commissioner Charles Neary, Commissioner Bill Pratt, Commissioner Absent: Carol Mascali, Chair Adam Falcon, Commissioner Payton McDermott, Youth Representative 2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the agenda. 3. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN There were no public comments or speakers. 4. CONSENT CALENDAR 4.1 Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the regular Parks, Recreation, and Arts Commission meeting of November 12, 2025 (R.Collier) PARKS, RECREATION AND ARTS COMMISSION SUMMARY OF ACTIONS DECEMBER 10, 2025 2 MOTION BY COMMISSIONER JOYCE, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER PRATT, TO APPROVE THE SUMMARY OF ACTIONS FROM THE NOVEMBER 12, 2025, PARKS, RECREATION, AND ARTS COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING. MOTION CARRIED 5-0-0-3; CHAIR MASCALI, COMMISSIONER FALCON AND YOUTH REPRESENTATIVE MCDERMOTT ABSENT. 5. PRESENTATIONS 5.1 Tassajara Valley Little League for the Batting Cage Lighting Proposal at Sycamore Valley Park by Luis Rugerio, Town of Danville Maintenance Services Superintendent Superintendent Luis Rugerio provided an overview of the Batting Cage Lighting Proposal at Sycamore Valley Park. MOTION BY COMMISSIONER JOYCE, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER PRATT, TO APPROVE BATTING CAGE LIGHTING PROPOSAL. MOTION CARRIED 5-0-0-3; CHAIR MASCALI, COMMISSIONER FALCON, AND YOUTH REPRESENTATIVE MCDERMOTT ABSENT. 5.2 East Bay Regional Parks District by President and Board Member of Ward 6, John Mercurio President and Board Member John Mercurio provided an overview of the Vision for East Bay Regional Parks. 6. ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF REPORTS 6.1 Consider approval of Book Bench design by Supervisor Stacey Kenison Supervisor Kenison provided an overview about the selection of the Book Bench design. MOTION BY COMMISSIONER PRATT, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER JOYCE, TO APPROVE THE BOOK BENCH DESIGN. MOTION CARRIED 5-0-0-3; CHAIR MASCALI, COMMISSIONER FALCON AND YOUTH REPRESENTATIVE MCDERMOTT ABSENT.
