Dear Ms. Lam, I’m writing as a long-time resident of 641 Tunbridge Road, where I’ve lived for over 21 years. I’m reaching out regarding the proposed T-Mobile wireless facility at the northwest corner of Sycamore Valley Road and Tunbridge Road (Case File LUP-25-0034). As a T-Mobile customer, I support the installation of the pole. I also appreciate the opportunity to comment ahead of the January 27th Planning Commission meeting. I’d like to raise a practical concern related to the surrounding vegetation. The trees located in the backyards of homes along Graham Court — directly behind the Tunbridge block — shed an extremely heavy layer of yellow pine pollen and pine needles each fall. Vehicles parked on our street routinely have their windshields and air vents caked with thick yellow dust, and every crevice becomes filled with pollen. The pine needles blanket backyards (at least from what I’ve seen in my backyard and my two adjacent next door neighbors) and deposit into gutters throughout the area. Given the proximity of these trees to the proposed equipment, I wanted to ask whether T- Mobile or PG&E has considered a vegetation management plan to protect the reliability of the pole and its components. The buildup of pollen and needles could potentially affect cooling vents or other exposed infrastructure over time. I’ve included a marked copy of the vicinity map for reference, showing the location of the trees in question relative to the project site. I’d be happy to provide further details or speak at the hearing if helpful. These photos of the pollen are from my backyard this past November and we have a weekly gardener. So this buildup represents less than 7 days of pollen. Thank you for your time and consideration, Juliette and Patrick Carney 641 Tunbridge Road Danville, CA 94526 650.245.7968
