Heritage Resource Commission – Regular Meeting Summary of Actions - DRAFT Monday, July 7, 2025 1.CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Heritage Resource Commission was called to order by Chair Warren at 5:00 p.m., in the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, Danville, CA. Present: Jerry Warren, Chair Wade Luckhardt, Vice Chair Ian Halker, Commissioner Lee Halverson, Commissioner Michaela Luxton, Commissioner Jim Powers, Commissioner 2.CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 3.FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN There were no public comments. 4.CONSENT CALENDAR 4.1 Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the regular Heritage Resource Commission meeting of May 12, 2025 MOTION BY COMMISSIONER HALVERSON, SECOND BY VICE CHAIR LUCKHARDT, TO APPROVE THE SUMMARY OF ACTIONS FROM THE REGULAR HERITAGE RESOURCE COMMISSION MEETING OF MAY 12, 2025. HERITAGE RESOURCE COMMISSION SUMMARY OF ACTIONS - DRAFT JULY 7, 2025 2 MOTION CARRIED 6-0-0-0 4.2 Consider approval of the Heritage Resource Commission dates for 2026 MOTION BY COMMISSIONER HALVERSON, SECOND BY VICE CHAIR LUCKHARDT, TO APPROVE THE HERITAGE RESOURCE COMMISSION DATES FOR 2026. MOTION CARRIED 6-0-0-0 5. COMMISSIONER REPORTS 5.1 Progress report from the Commission’s Historic Survey Subcommittee Chief of Planning David Crompton discussed the status of the Historic Survey Subcommittee and suggested greater focus be turned to the Outreach/Education Subcommittee. Chair Warren inquired about the possibility of a narrative plaque for the Cresco building commemorating a visit from Elvis Presley. 5.2 Progress report from the Commission’s Outreach/Education Subcommittee Mr. Crompton provided an update on the status of the School Street plaque in production and asked the Commission to revisit the verbiage of the Danville Grange plaque. 6. COMMUNICATIONS 6.1 Heritage Resource update by Chief of Planning David Crompton Mr. Crompton informed the commissioners that Jenn Starnes, the Town’s Communications & Economic Development Manager, is working with the historical walking app to be more accessible for the public and will provide an update at a future Commission meeting.
