Study Intersections - LOS
Findings
All intersections except the following would operate at a satisfactory LOS:
1. Project driveway/Diablo Road LOS E in A.M. Peak
2. El Cerro/West El Pintado/I-680 southbound ramp LOS F MD Peak and LOS PM Peak*
*These two intersections currently operate at these levels. However the project will add less than an
additional 5 -second delay, no mitigation required.
Traffic: Methodology
► New am, midday, and pm peak period intersection turn movement traffic
counts were collected on a typical weekday (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
during a typical week when school is in session, under no adverse weather
conditions.
► The traffic counts for all eight intersections for the Existing Conditions
analysis were collected on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Traffic volumes were
collected between 7 AM and 9 AM, 2PM and 4 PM, and 4 PM and 6 PM.
► Existing trip rate counts were collected at the existing garden store
driveways on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, using AM, midday, and PM peak
hours.
► Proposed trip rates are based on traffic counts for existing senior assisted
living facilities taken on Thursday, 10/24/2024 and Wednesday, 10/30/2024,
using AM, midday, and PM peak hours.
Traffic: Parking
► The project is providing 60 parking spaces which exceeds the Town's requirement
