Danville Bicycle Advisory Commission – Regular Meeting Summary of Actions March 24, 2025 1. CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Danville Bicycle Advisory Commission was called to order by Chair Heck at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, Danville, CA. Present: Chris Heck, Chair Angela Wang, Vice Chair Connor Fitzpatrick, Youth Commissioner Ryan Ozimek, Commissioner Tim White, Commissioner Absent: Jose Gutierrez, Commissioner 2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 3. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN There were no speakers. The Commission acknowledged receipt of distributed documents relating to the Good of the Town. 4. CONSENT CALENDAR 4.1 Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the regular Bicycle Advisory Commission meeting of January 21, 2025 MOTION BY VICE CHAIR WANG, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER FITZPATRICK, TO APPROVE THE CONSENT CALENDAR. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION/ACTION 5.1 Bicycle Advisory Commissioner Recruitment Update The Commission welcomed new commissioners Ryan Ozimek and Tim White. 5.2 Recommend the Town Council Appoint a Bicycle Advisory Commission Representative to Serve on the Iron Horse Corridor Management Program Advisory Committee Transportation Manager Allan Shields and Vice Mayor Newell Arnerich gave background details about the Iron Horse Corridor Management Advisory Committee position to the commissioners. Commissioner Ryan Ozimek volunteered. The Commission voted and unanimously agreed to recommend Commissioner Ryan Ozimek to be the Town Council appointed Commissioner to the Iron Horse Corridor Management Advisory Committee. 5-0-0-1 (Commissioner Gutierrez absent) 6. COMMUNICATIONS 6.1 CIP C-600 San Ramon Valley Boulevard Improvements -Traffic Striping and Marking Construction Changes 6.2 RFP and Wayfinding Statistics 6.3 Collisions Transportation Manager Allan Shields presented an update of the San Ramon Valley Boulevard Improvements, RFP and Wayfinding Statistics, and Collisions, and answered the commissioner’s questions. 7. REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS 8.1 Recruitment announcement for 18 positions open to Danville residents interested in volunteering: a. Heritage Resource Commission: 2 regular members; 1 licensed architect b. Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission: 4 regular members; 1 alternate c.Youth members: 1 Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission; 1 Arts Advisory Board d. Senior Advisory Commission: 3 regular members e.Design Review Board: 1 regular member f. Danville Poet Laureate: 1 g.Youth Poet: 1 h. Contra Costa County Advisory Council on Aging: 1 representative i. Contra Costa Transportation Authority Citizens Advisory Committee: 1 representative 8.2 Upcoming Community Events a.
