COSTA DISTRICT Serving the 10'h District Congressman DeSaulnier started representing Contra Costa County in Congress in 2015. Following redistricting effective in 2023, Congressman DeSaulnier now represents a smaller portion of Martinez. He now represents more of Antioch as well as Brentwood, Oakley, San Ramon, and parts of Dublin. Since coming to Congress, Mark has: Hosted 231 town halls and mobile district office hours; Assisted over 13,100 constituents with federal issues; and Responded to over 933,000 constituent inquiries. Committee Assignments Committee on Education and Workforce Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions (Ranking Member) Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Development Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation Subcommittee on Highways and Transit Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials k Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment Committee on Ethics (Ranking Member) Community Project Funding Through the Community Project Funding process (formerly known as earmarks), overall the Congressman has successfully procured over $46 million for projects in CA -10. Other projects in the region that are recipients of this funding will: Improve traffic safety, reduce commute times, and ease congestion. Help young children start school healthy, nurtured, and ready to learn from quality educators. Build affordable housing units, community space, and recreational areas. Support veterans through improvements to veterans facilities. Provide low-cost educational resources to community college students. Increase access to quality job training. Community Project Funding Mark's consistent advocacy has delivered federal funding for projects that improve our community. Since community project funding requests were re- established in 2021, he has secured $1.35 million for projects in Danville, including: $1,000,000 to modernize the town's traffic signal system network, helping to improve bicycle, pedestrian, and vehicular safety. $350,000 to make safety improvements and enhancements to the Iron Horse Trail. AimI Now Accepting New Submissions The annual appropriations has begun for the coming fiscal year (Fiscal Year 2026). ► Our office has opened applications for Community Project Funding requests and has circulated guidance from the House Appropriations Committee to prospective applicants, including Town of Danville officials. The deadline to submit projects for the Congressman's consideration is Friday, April 18tH. Our office hosted a workshop last month to provide more detail about best practices for a thorough application.
