Town Council – Regular Meeting SUMMARY OF ACTIONS April 1, 2025 - DRAFT 1.CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Danville Town Council was called to order by Mayor Morgan, and Emily Hull, Mayor for the Day, at 5:00 p.m. at the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, Danville, CA. Present: Renee Morgan, Mayor Newell Arnerich, Vice Mayor Mark Belotz, Councilmember Karen Stepper, Councilmember (departed at 5:28 p.m.) Robert Storer, Councilmember 2.PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG The pledge of allegiance was led by Emily Hull, Mayor for the Day. 3.CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. Town Manager Joe Calabrigo noted a revision was made to item 6.1 and was distributed to the Town Council. 4.FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN There were no speakers. 5.PRESENTATIONS AND PROCLAMATIONS 5.1Presentation of a proclamation to Seng Lovan, Senior Community Library Manager, proclaiming April 6 - 12, 2025, as National Library Week Mayor Morgan presented the proclamation. DANVILLE TOWN COUNCIL SUMMARY OF ACTIONS APRIL 1, 2025 5.2Reading of a proclamation by Mayor Morgan proclaiming April 2025 as Alcohol Awareness Month Mayor Morgan read the proclamation. 5.3Landscaping and Lighting Assessment District 2025-1 status update Town Manager Joe Calabrigo and Maintenance Services Director Dave Casteel presented the update. Councilmember Stepper departed the meeting at 5:28 p.m. 6.CONSENT CALENDAR Prior to the meeting, Councilmember Stepper recommended a revision to item 6.1, which was distributed to the Town Council for consideration. 6.1Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the regular Town Council meeting of March 18, 2025 REVISED 6.2Consider approval of the Register of Demands 6.3Consider adoption of Resolution No. 23-2025, approving a Quitclaim Lack of Abutters Rights located along Diablo Road, east of McCauley Road MOTION BY COUNCILMEMBER STORER, SECOND BY COUNCILMEMBER BELOTZ, TO APPROVE THE CONSENT CALENDAR; INCLUDING REVISION TO ITEM 6.1 MOTION CARRIED 4-0-0-1; COUNCILMEMBER STEPPER ABSENT 7.COMMUNICATIONS 7.1Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission report by Chair Charlie Neary Commissioner Charlie Neary provided the report. ? DANVILLE TOWN COUNCIL SUMMARY OF ACTIONS APRIL 1, 2025 7.2Recruitment update on 18 positions open to Danville residents, by City Clerk Marie Sunseri: a.Heritage Resource Commission: 2 positions and 1 licensed architect b.Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission: 5 positions c.Youth Representative Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission: 1 position d.Youth Member Arts Advisory Board: 1 position e.Senior Advisory Commission: 3 positions f.Design Review Board: 1 position g.Danville Poet Laureate: 1 position h.Youth Poet: 1 position i.Contra Costa County Advisory Council on Aging: 1 member j.Contra Costa Transportation Authority Citizen Advisory Committee: 1 member City Clerk Marie Sunseri provided an update. 8.TOWN COUNCIL REPORTS 8.1Appoint one Bicycle Advisory Commission representative to the Contra Costa County Iron Horse Corridor Management Program Advisory Committee for term ending January 31, 2029 MOTION BY VICE MAYOR ARNERICH, SECOND BY COUNCILMEMBER BELOTZ, TO APPOINT COMMISSIONER RYAN OZIMEK TO THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY IRON HORSE CORRIDOR MANAGEMENT PROGRAM ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR TERM ENDING JANUARY 31, 2029 MOTION CARRIED 5-0 8.2Quarterly Street Smarts Boardmember report by Vice Mayor Arnerich Vice Mayor Arnerich provided the report. 8.3Quarterly County Connection Boardmember report by Councilmember Storer Councilmember Storer provided the report. ?
