PROCLAMATION
NATIONAL VOL UNTEER APPRECIATION MONTH - APRIL 2025
PRESENTED TO AMY SCHELL AND TIM MCGRATH
WHEREAS, April is National Volunteer Appreciation Month, and provides an opportunity to recognize the
individuals who selflessly give of their time and talents; and
WHEREAS, the entire community can influence positive change with any volunteer action, no matter how big
or small, and
WHEREAS, a sense of caring and desire to share have motivated many individuals to volunteer their time to
serve the needs of the community, and
WHEREAS, Town volunteers possess many skills and talents, which they generously and enthusiastically apply
to a variety of communihf tasks; and
WHEREAS, 710 Town volunteers have donated over 3,000 hours to the Town of Danville in 2024, and
WHEREAS, during the month of April, all over the nation, service projects will be performed, volunteers will be
recognized for their commitment to service, and we renew the spirit of service that has enriched our country for
generations, now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council does hereby proclaim the month of April 2025 as National
Volunteer Appreciation Month in the Town of Danville and calls upon town residents to pledge to make service
a part of their daily lives.
