SUMMARY OF ACTIONS
February 12, 2025
1. CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Danville Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission was
called to order by Chair Neary at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall, 201
Front Street, Danville. CA.
Present: Charles Neary, Chair
Carol Mascali, Vice Chair
Kevin Donovan, Commissioner
Adam Falcon, Commissioner
Jane Joyce, Commissioner
Joe Lindsey, Commissioner
Jenna Mesic, Commissioner
Absent: Addison Brown, Youth Commissioner
2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA
There were no changes to the agenda.

There was no public comment.
4. CONSENT CALENDAR
4.1 Approval of the Summary of Actions from January 8, 2025, Parks,
Recreation and Arts Commission Regular meeting

5. PRESENTATIONS
5.1 Tassajara Valley Little League Scoreboard Proposal at Sycamore Valley
Park
Maintenance Services Director, Dave Casteel, provided an update on the
Tassajara Valley Little League (TVLL) Scoreboard proposal design,
requesting approval to install a small plaque at the base of the scoreboard
with the Town logo, in addition to the TVLL logo, recognition to the Carter
Family, and an inspirational quote.
TVLL representative, Mohan Rajagopal, gave an update on the progress of
the scoreboard installation and expressed their gratitude for the support of
the Commission.

MESIC, TO APPROVE THE TASSAJARA VALLEY LITTLE LEAGUE
SCOREBOARD PLAQUE PROPOSAL
MOTION CARRIED 7-0-0-1; COMMISSIONER BROWN ABSENT 5.2 Montair Elementary School Playground Discussion
Maintenance Services Director, Dave Casteel, provided background and
information on the history of the Montair Elementary School playground
agreement between the Town and San Ramon Valley Unified School
District (SRVUSD).
The Parks, Recreation, and Arts Commission recommended that the Town
communicate to the SRVUSD that playground replacement is a priority and
that funding for replacement should come from SRVUSD while the Town
continues maintenance responsibilities.
6. COMMUNICATION
6.1 Recruitment Announcement for 20 positions for Danville residents
interested in volunteering
Director Henry Perezalonso shared information on current volunteer
opportunities for Danville residents to serve on committees, advisory
boards, and commissions within the Town.

upcoming events.

Commissioners provided updates on activities and events in Danville.

The regular meeting of the Danville Parks, Recreation and Arts
Commission was adjourned at 8:17 p.m.
