Funding is available to eligible cities and counties on a per capita basis. Danville has applied for and received approximately $11,000 in grant monies annually since 2010. In Danville, these grants have been used to fund recycling and trash receptacles in the downtown area and the installation or repair of water refill stations within public parks and buildings. DISCUSSION The Town applied for and was awarded $11,125 for the FY 22/23 funding cycle, and $11,060 in the FY 23/24 funding cycle, for a total of $22,185.
