HomeMy WebLinkAboutTown of Danville Meeting - 01.24.25Friday, January 24th 2025 Running the Chamber Executive Board Office Manger (Jessi Waite) Events Manager (Christina Dodd) Chair Uday Kumar Govt Affairs (Dave Fong) Finance (Tim Argenti) Sponsorship (Jerry North) Vice – Chair (Glenn Novotny) Executive Board The search for the new President is very active First round of interview by recruiter (3 candidates interviewed)  Next round with be with the Executive board & Panel Chair will be the point of contact who will then triage as needed Board members are taking a more active role in oversight State of the Town •Finalize date •Location •Have members ready to start preparation Mixers •First mixer was a success at Swan Medical •Second mixer is by a new business Women’s workshop •Program being finalized next week Educational Workshops •Will finalize the courses after the survey Ribbon Cutting •First one on 02/11 – Studio 8 •Second one on 02/25 - Footwear The Next 90 Days Working as Partners •Downtown Business District •Had the first meeting on Wednesday; Uday to work with Jeff Sutherland •Common Communication strategy for better impact •Once the towns events are finalized, we market each other – get businesses involved •Town and Chamber jointly plan & market events months in advance via social media e.g., we start to work on easter now •Collaboration •Town and Chamber work off the same plan – have a kick off, regular 2 week check-ins •Need to get residents to feel we are one team •Jenn will be part of the panel that interviews the President •Help with Staffing •Work with DVC, job board, job fairs Feb 1st Mar 1st Apr 1st Apr 20th Planning Orders Merch Receives Merch Display & sell Help market the event •Defining the Activities that constitute our Mission •Defining the role of the Board of Directors •Understanding our membership •Being a partner to the town •Assigning key board members to our income sources •Reviewing our budget, Income & expenses •Aligning our expenses with member benefit •Aligning # of events to our budget •Aligning our use of space to the need •Reviewing our use of partners & available tools •Developing policy documents •Offering better value through better use of assets •Survey to get insights on current needs •Develop Training workshops based on need Member Focus Operational Initiatives Financial Initiatives Strategic Initiatives Major Initiatives Underway 1 2 3 4 Our Membership THANK YOU
