As a road cyclist that was hit by a car in downtown Danville in May, 2022, and sustained a broken shoulder, I feel it
imperative that experienced cycling advocates like Al Kalin and Bruce Bilodeau be not only kept in their current
positions, but be congratulated for the mountains of work that they have performed while with the BAC. It's
obvious that Danville cares about cyclists when you see the striping and cycling lanes etc. that have been added to
our streets to make us cyclists feel safer. We need MORE men and women like these two men, not get rid of the
most senior advocates for the cycling group. Just look at the work that they have done to add 67 turnouts on Mt.
Diablo to create safe auto passing zones! If that doesn't tell you what's important, nothing will.
Please do not vote to fire these two fine cycling advocates. Swallow your small issues and look toward the greater
good. I've been riding here in the Valley since 1988, and we have never wanted to move because of the cycling
atmosphere. Please realize that some of that is because of these two good advocates.
