Most of the people I played CYO with live in places like El Dorado Hills now due to the cost of housing in this area. My brother lives in Twentynine Palms. As I am sure you are aware, SRVUSD is facing enrollment declines and the potential for closure of Danville schools as a result. I think that's unfortunate. A lot of older residents in this area live in homes that are too big for them - two people in a house with four or five bedrooms. If those people moved into housing that was more compatible for what they need at this stage of their life, this would free up additional family sized housing for actual families to move into, which might in turn help prevent school closures. Families find it difficult to afford a $2 million down payment. I read through the appeals and I did not see anything that constitutes a threat to health and safety, or a violation of an objective standard in the building or zoning code. I understand neighbors are upset about the parking study but "the parking study had bad assumptions" is their opinion, not an objective standard. I do not agree that this area will have difficulty finding parking but even if it gets slightly more difficult to park here I'd prefer for families to have it slightly easier to afford this area than for it to be extremely easy to park at all times. Thanks, Kevin Burke
