SUBJECT: Preparation for the 43 Annual Mayor’s Installation and Community

Service Awards
The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday,* December 4, 2024. Preparation
includes Town Council discussion at each of the upcoming Study Sessions, prior to the
event.
August 13: Venue, start time, reception, service awards/recognition
September 10: Review draft event agenda; determine protocol for presentation of
awards in the event of no-show
(e.g., mail, deliver, present at public
meeting and by whom? new liaison or previous liaison)
October 8: Select three recommendations for the Michael K. Shimansky
Community Service Award
November 12: Select Town Council Community Service Award recipients; confirm
award presenters; finalize agenda
December 4: Event*
