TO: Mayor and Town Council July 9, 2024
SUBJECT: 2025 Town Council meeting dates and holidays
BACKGROUND
The Town Council conducts its regular meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of each
month. For 2025, exceptions occur during the months of January and August, when only
one meeting will be held in the month, the same day as the Town Council study session on
the 2 Tuesday. Town Council study sessions are held on the second Tuesday of each

month, with the exception of May, when each Tuesday is reserved for discussion of the
Town’s Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program. Attachment A lists the
proposed Town Council meeting dates for 2025.
There are 11 legal holidays observed by the Town each year. In addition, three holiday
furlough dates are scheduled in 2025 and reflect office closure from December 25 through
January 2. Offices will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026, following the New Years
holiday and furlough. January 1 and 2, 2025 will be included in the 2026 holiday/furlough
dates to be observed by the Town. Attachment B lists the 2025 dates and events.
This item is for Council review and discussion. The meeting dates and holidays for 2025
will be presented to the Town Council for action at a future meeting.
