PROTECT DESCRIPTION This development was approved by the Planning Commission on April 26, 2022. Conditions of approval require that the final building permit plans be returned to the DRB for review and approval prior to the issuance of building permits. EVALUATION Architecture • Staff worked with the applicant to ensure that all important details of the approved architecture were pulled forward to the building plans. • The colors and materials are consistent from original plans to building permit plans, though the horizontal siding is being modified from a Hardie Plank material to fiber cement material. • Stainless steel signage panels are proposed. However final sign review will be subject to a separate Sign Review application process. • The building height is proposed to increase by 2'10", from 29'4" to 32'2", which would allow for a more accessible second row of storage units on the second story. The previously approved plans showed a second row of storage units only accessible by a ladder whereas the modified plans show a metal grated walkway.
