Town Council – Regular Meeting SUMMARY OF ACTIONS March 19, 2024 - DRAFT 1. CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Danville Town Council was called to order by Mayor Stepper at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, Danville, CA. Present: Karen Stepper, Mayor Dave Fong, Vice Mayor Newell Arnerich, Councilmember Renee Morgan, Councilmember Robert Storer, Councilmember 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by April Rovero and Diya Shah. 3. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 4. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN Diane Preas expressed concern regarding the safety of motor scooters operated by children. Chuck Preas expressed opposition to the pickleball courts proposed for Osage Station Park. DANVILLE TOWN COUNCIL SUMMARY OF ACTIONS MARCH 19, 2024 5. PRESENTATION OF DESIGN AWARDS 5.1OUTSTANDING NEW RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD DESIGN Project: Rivers Lane 80, 81, 83, 86 and 88 Rivers Lane Mayor Stepper presented the award. Project: Edendale Akabane Lane, Maple Lane, Pine Place and Fieldstone Drive Councilmember Morgan presented the award. 5.2 OUTSTANDING CUSTOM HOME DESIGN Project: Haramoglis Residence 372 Cordell Drive Councilmember Storer presented the award. 5.3 OUTSTANDING COMMERCIAL REMODEL DESIGN Project: I Can Do That! Performing Arts Center 194 Diablo Road Councilmember Arnerich presented the award. 5.4 OUTSTANDING HISTORIC RENOVATION AND REDEVELOPMENT DESIGN Project: Xavier’s Shoe Store/DeSousa Building 375 Hartz Ave. Vice Mayor Fong presented the award. 2 DANVILLE TOWN COUNCIL SUMMARY OF ACTIONS MARCH 19, 2024 6. PROCLAMATIONS 6.1 Presentation of a proclamation to April Rovero, National Coalition Against Prescription Drug Abuse, proclaiming March 2024 as Prescription Drug Abuse Awareness Month Mayor Stepper presented the proclamation. 6.2Presentation of a proclamation to Teresa DeVincenzi, Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area, proclaiming March 2024 as National Disabilities Awareness Month Mayor Stepper presented the proclamation. 7. CONSENT CALENDAR 7.1Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the regular Town Council meeting of March 6, 2024 7.2Consider approval of the Register of Demands 7.3Consider acceptance of the January 2024 Month End Treasurer’s Report 7.4Consider adoption of Resolution No. 17-2024, extending a contract for street and parking lot sweeping services 7.5Consider adoption of Resolution No. 18-2024, amending a contract for fleet maintenance with Ace Auto Repair and Tire Center, Inc. 7.6Consider adoption of Resolution No. 19-2024, accepting public and private improvements and dedications for Subdivision 9291, Magee Preserve, located at Appaloosa Street off Blackhawk Road 7.7Consider adoption of Resolution No. 20-2024, awarding a professional services agreement for engineering design services and appropriating additional funding for Sycamore Valley Road Improvements, CIP Project C-635 3 DANVILLE TOWN COUNCIL SUMMARY OF ACTIONS MARCH 19, 2024 7.8Consider adoption of Resolution No. 21-2024, approving Subdivision Map and Subdivision Improvement Agreement for 144 El Dorado Avenue, SD 9631, located at 144 El Dorado Avenue (APN: 208-031-001) MOTION BY COUNCILMEMBER ARNERICH, SECOND BY COUNCILMEMBER MORGAN, TO APPROVE THE CONSENT CALENDAR MOTION CARRIED 5-0 8. COMMUNICATIONS 8.1Legislative Update by Management Analyst Cat Bravo Cat Bravo presented the update. 9. TOWN COUNCIL REPORTS 9.1RecycleSmart Boardmember report by Councilmember Arnerich and Councilmember Morgan Councilmember Arnerich and Councilmember Morgan provided the report. 9.2Town Council updates Councilmembers provided updates on events and activities in Danville. 10.
