Danville Bicycle Advisory Commission - Regular Meeting Summary of Actions January 22, 2024 - DRAFT 1. CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Danville Bicycle Advisory Commission was called to order by Chair Bilodeau at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, Danville, CA. Present: Bruce Bilodeau, Chair Angela Wang, Vice Chair Elliott Call, Commissioner (Joins at 6:09 p.m.) Tyler Choi, Commissioner Al Kalin, Commissioner David Williams, Commissioner 2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 3. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN Councilmember Robert Storer introduced himself to the BAC as the 2024 newly appointed Town Council liaison to the Bicycle Advisory Commission. Councilmember Storer shared his vision for the Bicycle Advisory Commission and Bicycle Master Plan's mission statement. 4. CONSENT ITEMS 4.1 Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the November 27, 2023, Bicycle Advisory Commission regular meeting MOTION BY COMMISSIONER KALIN, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS, TO APPROVE THE SUMMARY OF ACTIONS FROM THE Danville Bicycle Advisory Commission - Regular Meeting Summary of Actions January 22, 2024 NOVEMBER 27, 2023 BICYCLE ADVISORY COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING MOTION CARRIED 5-0-0-1; COMMISSIONER CALL ABSENT 4.2 Consider approval of the Bicycle Advisory Commission regular meeting time and dates for 2024 MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS, SECOND BY VICE CHAIR WANG TO APPROVE THE BICYCLE ADVISORY COMMISSION 2024 MEETING DATES MOTION CARRIED 5-0-0-1; COMMISSIONER CALL ABSENT 5. ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF REPORTS 5.1 Review and Consider 2024 Bicycle Advisory Commission Work Plan Andrew Dillard, Transportation Manager, presents the staff report. 5.2 Review and consider forwarding bicycle project recommendations to the Danville Town Council for consideration of inclusion in the 2024-25 Capital Improvement Program Andrew Dillard, Transportation Manager, presents the staff report. The Commission reviewed the list of unfunded spot and corridor improvements contained in the Bicycle Master Plan in consideration of recommending forwarding projects to the Town Council for consideration of inclusion in the 2024-25 Capital Improvement Program. The Commission recommended to forward a project to convert the existing Class II bicycle lanes on Camino Tassajara and Sycamore Valley Road corridors to Class IIb (buffered) bicycle lanes and to evaluate locations for potential conversion to Class IV bicycle lanes. 6. COMMISSIONER REPORTS 7.1 Subcommittee Updates There were subcommittee updates from Vice Chair Wang on marketing and outreach. 8.
