I wrote this message to bring up my concern regarding to below development plan:
Consider approval of Resolution No. 2024-02, approving Major Subdivision (SD 9594) Development Plan (DEV22-0009), and Tree Removal (TR24-0003) requests to subdivide a seven acre parcel to allow for a 167-unit multifamily development. The
development would include 124 for-sale townhouse units and 43 for-rent apartment
units. The site is located at 3020 Fostoria Way (also known as the Borel property). My concern is:
1. This development plan doesn't provide adequate parking to the apartment units, each
unit has only one parking slot. This will bring in safety and street cleaning concern to nearby community like Camino Ramon Pl. or Francisco Circle. These streets may become overflow parking of these new homes and may cause street sweeping impossible due to car parking there.
2. When people need to cross street to access their cars frequently, it brings in safety concern to both drivers and pedestrian. 3. There should be traffic signal to replace the stop sign in the intersection of Camino
Ramon and Camino Ramon Pl.
In short, this development plan should provide two parking slots for the apartments to avoid concern about. I urge the City Planning to request developer to make such change before approving the plan.
Best Regards David Liang, resident of Danville.
