Danville Bicycle Advisory Commission - Regular Meeting Summary of Actions July 24, 2023 1. CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Danville Bicycle Advisory Commission was called to order by Chair Kalin at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, Danville, CA. Present: Tyler Choi, Commissioner Angela Wang, Commissioner David Williams, Commissioner Bruce Bilodeau, Vice Chair Alan Kalin, Chair Absent: Elliott Call, Commissioner 2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 3. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN There were no public comments. 4. CONSENT ITEMS 4.1 Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the March 27, 2023, Bicycle Advisory Commission regular meeting MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER CHOI TO APPROVE THE SUMMARY OF ACTIONS FROM THE MARCH 27, 2023 BICYCLE ADVISORY COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING Danville Bicycle Advisory Commission - Regular Meeting Summary of Actions July 24, 2023 MOTION CARRIED 5-0-0-1; COMMISSIONER CALL ABSENT 5. ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF REPORTS 5.1 Review Options for Count Station Device location Andrew Dillard, Transportation Manager, presented the staff report. The Commissioners agreed with staff recommendation of a bicycle/pedestrian Count Station Device location on the Diablo Road (aka Barbara Haile) Trail. 6. COMMUNICATIONS 6.1 CIP Projects and Program Updates Andrew Dillard, Transportation Manager provided an update on CIP Projects and Program Updates. 6.2 Pedestrian/Bicycle Collision Statistics Update Andrew Dillard, Transportation Manager and Edwin Martinez, Traffic Engineering Associate provided an update on collision statistics and GIS formatting. 6.3 Commission Workshop Discussion Diane Friedmann, Deputy Director of Development Services provided information on the September 25, 2023 workshop. Diane Friedmann, Deputy Director of Development Services answered commissioner questions about the workshop. Chair Kalin distributed a document to recommend the commission make a motion regarding the workshop Agenda items on September 25, 2023. The item wash t agenized for action at this meeting. 7. COMMISSIONER REPORTS 7.1 Iron Horse Trail Crossings and Corridor Assessments and Monitoring PJ Danville Bicycle Advisory Commission - Regular Meeting Summary of Actions July 24, 2023 Subcommittee Update There was no Subcommittee update. 7.2 Bicycle Marketing, Education and Community Outreach Subcommittee Update Commissioner Williams and Commissioner Wang reported on subcommittee activities that included review an input of informational materials and community outreach efforts. Commissioner Williams attended events including the 511 Contra Costa Bike to Work/Everywhere Day and the San Ramon Valley Street Smarts Community Bicycle Rodeo in support of bicycling outreach opportunities. 7.3 Bicycling to School, Routes, and Safety Assessments Subcommittee Update There was no Subcommittee update. 8.
