In short, we have been in ongoing communications with RS for over 2 years regarding the repeated leaks in our neighborhood created by RS' trucks. Unfortunately, the hydraulic fluids and other chemical based products used cannot be cleaned up regardless of any attempts to do so by RS' cleanup vendor. In fact, the attempted cleanup process only further degrades the integrity of the pavement. I have communicated with RS management by phone, in person, by email, and in many cases I have sent them photos. Very simply, the trucks are not being properly maintained, regardless of what we are being told by RS to the contrary. Throughout the neighborhood we see countless new leaks of all types and sizes every Monday pickup. We are responsible good paying customers. We expect and deserve to have RS to do their part, as contracted, to professionally remove refuse, not to leave evidence of their trucks' presence every week that they are here. Newell Arnerich and Cat Bravo have visited our neighborhood, and they have witnessed, first hand, the appearance of our streets and all that has been caused by RS' poorly maintained equipment. On Newell's visit, he immediately commented on what he saw, followed by him saying, "This is in violation of Code." In fairness to ours, and other neighborhoods affected, contractual agreements and state vehicle codes need to be appropriately enforced. Interestingly, back in July, I received an "unsolicited" call, and then several emails from CaIly Walker / Multi -Line Claim Specialist from a company called CCMSI. She represented herself as RS' insurance company and she wanted to hear more about the damages to our neighborhood streets. I informed her that it was best for her to be speaking directly with the Town of Danville, as the Town is the legal owner of the streets. She continued to send me more emails that I forwarded on to Cat Bravo. Cat and Newell have been good enough to provide us updates on the RS situation, in their efforts to remedy this long, unresolved, and unfair matter. While we understand that the Town has a pavement maintenance program, and certain scheduling timeframes in which these projects are to be completed, respectfully, we feel that the Town of Danville should pursue RS' insurance company, and the proceeds should provide the funds necessary for the Town to re -slurry our streets as soon as possible. We appreciate all of the Town of Danville's efforts! Please confirm receipt of this email. Thank you. Jeff Brotman
