Danville Heritage Resource Commission – Regular Meeting Summary of Actions July 10, 2023 1. CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Danville Heritage Resource Commission was called to order by Chair Powers at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, Danville, CA. Present: Jim Powers, Chair Mark Belotz, Commissioner Lee Halverson, Commissioner Mary Grace Houlihan, Commissioner Jerry Warren, Commissioner Excused: Kathryn Benvenuto, Commissioner Kimberly Holmes, Vice Chair 2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 3. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN There were no public comments. 4. COMMUNICATIONS 5.1 Progress report from the Commissions Historic Survey Subcommittee Commissioner Warren reported that the subcommittee was unable to meet prior to the meeting. 5.2 Progress report from the Commissions Outreach/Education Subcommittee Commissioner Halverson spoke about the Halverson Creek plaque wording. 5.3 Commissioner and Staff Report Chief of Planning, David Crompton updated the Commission on the following outstanding plaques: • Four numbered oval plaques were ordered and delivered but had errors and needed to be redone. The corrected plaques should arrive shortly. • An error was noticed on the Cabral/Foster House plaque, it has been reordered and should be received soon. Mr. Crompton updated the Commission on the status of Engaged by Cell, the walking tour app. A professional photographer was hired to take pictures of our Historic Resources to use on the site map. Commissioners discussed and agreed that all twenty-eight historic sites should be added to the walking tour, even those outside of the downtown area.
