Meeting Summary
March 30, 2023
1. CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Danville Design Review Board was called to order at 5:03 p.m.,
at the Town Offices, 500 La Gonda Way, Danville, CA
Board Attendance: Mark Belotz, Chris Trujillo, and Kevin Wong
Staff Attendance: Riley Anderson -Barrett, and David Crompton
2. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN
There were no public comments received.
There were no changes to the order of the agenda.
4. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION/ACTION
4.1 Consider approval of the January 26, 2023, Meeting Summary
The Meeting Summary was approved with a unanimous vote.
5. PUBLIC HEARING
5.1 Review and approve the architecture, color and material board, and landscape
design for Development Plan request DEV23-0001 allowing for the construction
of a new 6,044 square foot single family residence with an attached 780 square
foot garage, and a 1,148 square foot detached ADU located at 68 Hidden Hills
Place (Project Planner: Riley Anderson -Barrett).

Board Member Kevin Wong stated that his personal residence is approximately
400 feet from the subject property, but he does not anticipate this project to
have an impact on his own property and he will remain objective when making
decisions.
Riley Anderson -Barrett, Associate Planner, presented the staff report.
The applicant, Bill Wood, William Wood Architects, presented the project and
answered questions from Design Review Board members.
There were no public comments received.
Decision: The Design Review Board recommended approval of the project with
the caveat that the color and material board will receive a further review from
Design Review Board members, and California pepper trees will be staggered
within the scenic easement with 15-gallon trees placed at a higher elevation and
24" box trees placed at a lower elevation.
6. REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS
Board Member Belotz asked Town staff about the timeline of putting up the entryway
arch at the Clocktower Plaza and to provide some clarification on the permanence and
design of Primo's temporary parklet structure.
7. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting of the Danville Design Review Board was adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
