CALL TO ORDER The special meeting of the Danville Heritage Resource Commission was called to order by Commissioner Halverson on behalf of Vice Chair Powers at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, Danville, CA. 1.1 Roll Call Administrative Assistant Kristine Meidberg conducted the roll call for attendance: Present: Mark Belotz, Commissioner Kathryn Benvenuto, Commissioner Lee Halverson, Commissioner Mary Grace Houlihan, Commissioner Jerry Warren, Commissioner Excused: Kim Holmes, Commissioner Absent: James Powers, Commissioner 1.2 Announcements There were no announcements. 2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 3. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN There were no public comments. CONSENT CALENDAR 4.1 Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the December 12, 2022, Heritage Resource Commission special meeting. Commissioner Halverson opened the item to public comments. There were no public comments made. MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WARREN, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER BENVENUTO TO APPROVE THE SUMMARY OF ACTIONS FROM THE DECEMBER 12, 2022, HERITAGE RESOURCE COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING MOTION CARRIED 5-0-0-2; COMMISSIONER HOLMES AND COMMISSIONER POWERS WERE ABSENT 5. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION/ACTION 5.1 Election of 2023 Heritage Resource Commission Chair Vice Chair Powers and Commissioner Holmes were nominated for the 2023 Heritage Resource Commission Chair. MOTION BY COMMISSIONER BENVENUTO TO ELECT COMMISSIONER HOLMES AS THE 2023 HERITAGE RESOURCE COMMISSION CHAIR MOTION FAILED MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WARREN TO ELECT VICE CHAIR POWERS AS THE 2023 HERITAGE RESOURCE COMMISSION CHAIR MOTION CARRIED 5-0-0-2; COMMISSIONER HOLMES AND COMMISSIONER POWERS WERE ABSENT 5.2 Election of the 2023 Heritage Resource Commission Vice Chair MOTION BY COMMISSIONER BENVENUTO TO NOMINATE COMMISSIONER HOLMES AS THE 2023 HERITAGE RESOURCE VICE CHAIR Danville Heritage Resource Commission – Regular Meeting Summary of Actions January 9, 2023 3 MOTION CARRIED 5-0-0-2; COMMISSIONER HOLMES AND COMMISSIONER POWERS ABSENT 6. REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS 6.1 Progress report from the Commissions Historic Survey Subcommittee David Crompton Chief of Planning presented the new Historic Inventory List and reviewed the changes that were made. 6.2 Progress report from the Commissions Outreach/Education Subcommittee Commissioner Belotz as a new member of the Commission asked for an explanation of both Subcommittees. Mr. Crompton gave an overview of the Subcommittees. 6.3 Commissioner and Staff Reports An update on the historic walking app will be made at the next meeting. 7.
