Danville Bicycle Advisory Commission - Special Meeting Summary of Actions January 23, 2023 1. CALL TO ORDER The special meeting of the Danville Bicycle Commission was called to order by Chair Kalin at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, Danville, CA. 1.1 Roll Call Administrative Assistant Kristine Meidberg conducted the roll call for attendance: Present: Elliott Call, Commissioner Tyler Choi, Commissioner Angela Wang, Commissioner David Williams, Commissioner Bruce Bilodeau, Vice Chair Alan Kalin, Chair Excused: None Commissioner Wang entered the meeting at 5:07 p.m. Commissioner Call entered the meeting at 5:30 p.m. 2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA Chair Kalin requested to move item 7.1.1 Iron Horse Trail Corridor and Crossings Safety Review to be presented prior to item 4.2. MOTION BY CHAIR KALIN, SECOND BY VICE CHAIR BILODEAU TO MOVE ITEM 7.11 TO BE PRESENTED PRIOR TO ITEM 4.2 DANVILLE BICYCLE ADVISORY COMMISSION SUMMARY OF ACTIONS JANUARY 23, 2023 MOTION CARRIED 4-0-0-0, COMMISSIONERS CALL AND WANG NOT PRESENT 3. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN There were no public comments. 4. CONSENT ITEMS 4.1 Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the November 28, 2022, Bicycle Advisory Commission special meeting. MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER CHOI TO APPROVE THE SUMMARY OF ACTIONS FROM THE NOVEMBER 28, 2022 BICYCLE ADVISORY COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING MOTION CARRIED 4-0-0-0 COMMISSIONERS CALL AND WANG NOT PRESENT Commissioner Wang entered the meeting. 5. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION/ACTION 5.1 Appoint Bicycle Advisory Subcommittees Subcommittees were appointed and are as follows: • Iron Horse Trail Crossings and Corridor - Chair Kalin and Vice Chair Billadeau • Marketing, Education, and Outreach - Commissioner Williams and Commissioner Wang • Bicycling to School - Routes and Safety Assessments - Commissioner Choi and Commissioner Williams • Bicycling Wayfinding and Connectivity - Vice Chair Bilodeau and Commissioner Call MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER WANG, TO APPOINT SUBCOMMITTEES 2 DANVILLE BICYCLE ADVISORY COMMISSION SUMMARY OF ACTIONS JANUARY 23, 2023 MOTION CARRIED 5-0-0-0, COMMISSIONER CALL WAS NOT PRESENT Commissioner Call entered the meeting. 6. REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS 6.1 Senior Advisory Commission presentation on Age -friendly Roadmap Chair Candace Hendra of the Senior Advisory Commission gave a presentation on the Age -friendly Roadmap. Chair Kalin opened the item to public comments. There were no public comments. Chair Kalin closed the item to public comments. 6.2 Review Preliminary Draft Marketing and Outreach Plan Andrew Dillard, Transportation Manager presented the staff report and answered the Commissioner's questions. Chair Kalin closed the item to public comments. 6.3 Capital Improvement Program and Project Updates Andrew Dillard, Transportation Manager presented the staff report and answered the Commissioner's questions. 6.4 Collision Report Update Andrew Dillard, Transportation Manager presented the staff report and answered the Commissioner's questions. COMMUNICATIONS 7.1 Commission Reports PRESENTED AFTER ITEM 4.1 Vice Chair Billodeau gave an update on the Iron Horse Trail Corridor and Crossing Safety. Chair Kalin plans to coordinate a stakeholder meeting with East Bay Regional Park to review the hazards on the Iron Horse Trail between Hartford Drive to Fostoria.
