C-610 PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT TO CIP NO. C-601 CAMINO RAMON IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council has previously approved funding in the Capital Improvement Program for Camino Ramon Improvements, CIP No. C-601; and WHEREAS, the funding includes a grant from the One Bay Area Grant II (OBAG II), a federal grant program administered by Caltrans; and WHEREAS, Caltrans, acting on behalf of the Town, has determined that the project is Categorically Exempt from requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and WHEREAS, bids were solicited from contractors for the project; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk of this Town did, in open session on the 23rd day of February, 2023, publicly open and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and WHEREAS, of the 7 bids received, the lowest responsive bid was submitted by MCK Services of Martinez, California, and the City Engineer recommends awarding a construction contract for the project to said contractor; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that funds in the amount of $520,000 be transferred from Pavement Management (CIP No. C-610) to Camino Ramon Improvements (CIP C-601) to fund construction of the project; and, be it further RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town award a construction contract for Camino Ramon Improvements, CIP No. C-601, to MCK Services of Martinez, California; and, be it further RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract with MCK Services of Martinez, California for $2,012,133.50 and authorize use of a 15% contingency not -to - exceed $305,000 for a total construction budget of $2,317,133.50 for work in connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of the Town; and, be it further RESOLVED, that staff shall within five (5) days of the adoption of this resolution, transmit an Extract of Public Works contract award to the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 420603, San Francisco, CA 94142. (Note: Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding this ratio of apprentices to DocuSign Envelope ID: 5415EBA6-9D77-423E-ABF4-BAE3B92C9C72 journeymen be made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards of such findings.)
