Meeting Summary
October 27, 2022 - DRAFT
1. CALL TO ORDER
The special meeting of the Danville Design Review Board was called to order at
5:00 p.m. by Chair Lou Palandrani. The meeting was conducted by teleconference
only.
1.1 Roll Call
Roll call was conducted for attendance:

1.2 Announcements
Information was provided on the format of the meeting and instructions for
public comment.
2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA
There were no changes to the order of the agenda.
David Crompton, Chief of Planning announced new Design Review Board staff
liaison Riley Anderson-Barrett, Associate Planner.

4. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION/ACTION
4.1 Consider the approval of the September 15, 2022, Meeting Summary.
The September 15, 2022, Meeting Summary was approved.
5. PUBLIC HEARINGS
5.1 Review and comment on the architecture related to Development Plan
request DEV22-0009 for a proposed 168-unit Townhouse development.
The site consists of a seven-acre parcel located at 3020 Fostoria Way
(Project Planner: David Crompton).
David Crompton, Chief of Planning, presented the staff report.
The applicant Garrett Hinds, Trumark Co., and Kriselle Rodrigues, Dahlin
Group Architecture presented the project and answered questions from
Design Review Board members. Associates Heide Antonescu, Rusty Case,
Ritu Raj Sharma, Kim Reed, Tony Bosowski, and Davis Nelson were also in
attendance.
There were no public comments received.
Decision: The Design Review Board reviewed the project as a study
session item and made recommendations to the applicant. The
recommendations are as follows: potentially reduce fence height from 10-
feet to 8-feet on the north side buffer; lawn frontage on Camino Ramon
should be looked at and lap siding added on other elevations where not
present; building 7 and 8 should take away gables, add shed roofs, add
higher peaks to break up monotony, and colors should marry well and
appear less uniform; tone down the masonry wall; carport embellishments
to include more solar and charging stations; include storage units to buffer
sounds to surrounding property owners; consider bike parking
throughout the site; and suggest mature landscaping replacing the
removal of the walnut trees.
