Danville Heritage Resource Commission – Special Meeting Summary of Actions September 12, 2022 - Draft 1.CALL TO ORDER The special meeting of the Danville Heritage Resource Commission was called to order by Chair Graham at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was conducted by teleconference only. 1.1 Roll Call Administrative Assistant Kristine Meidberg conducted the roll call for attendance: Present: Lee Halverson, Commissioner Kim Holmes, Commissioner Jerry Warren, Commissioner James Powers, Vice Chair Mark Graham, Chair Excused: Mike Ammann, Commissioner Kathryn Benvenuto, Commissioner 1.2 Announcements Administrative Assistant Kristine Meidberg provided information regarding the format of the meeting and instructions for public comment. 2.CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 4.1 Danville Heritage Resource Commission – Special Meeting Summary of Actions - Draft September 12, 2022 2 3.“FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN” – To address the Heritage Resource Commission about a subject which is not listed on the agenda, click on the "Raise Your Hand" option in Zoom. Your name will be announced and you will have up to three (3) minutes to share your comments. There were no public comments. 4.ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION/ACTION 4.1 Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the June 13, 2022, Heritage Resource Commission special meeting. MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WARREN, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER HALVERSON TO APPROVE THE SUMMARY OF ACTIONS FROM THE JUNE 13, 2022 HERITAGE RESOURCE COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING MOTION CARRIED 5-0-0-2; COMMISSIONER AMMANN AND COMMISSIONER BENVENUTO EXCUSED 5.STUDY SESSION 5.1 Presentation by the Town of Danville Senior Advisory Commission on the Age Friendly Roadmap. Senior Commissioner Roxanne Foster presented the Age-Friendly Roadmap and answered Commissioner questions. 6.NEW BUSINESS 6.1 Progress report from the Commission’s History Survey Subcommittee. Commissioner Halverson updated the commission on the historic town walk app. Once the new app has been updated, the commission will set a time to take the walk and try it out. 6.2 Progress report from the Commission’s Outreach/Education Subcommittee. Commissioner Holmes updated the Commission on the gratitude of John DeSousa for creating a plaque and planning an unveiling of the Xavier Shoe store. The unveiling is proposed for the Friday after Thanksgiving. Danville Heritage Resource Commission – Special Meeting Summary of Actions September 12, 2022 3 7.REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS 7.1 Commissioner Reports Chief of Planning, David Crompton, made the Commission aware that item 4.2 on the Agenda had not been addressed. Chair Graham brought the meeting back to 4.2. 4.2 Consider approval of the Heritage Resource Commission meeting dates for 2023. Chief of Planning, David Crompton surveyed the Commissioners on their comfort level of going back to in-person meetings. All Commissioners were ready to go back to in-person. MOTION BY COMMISSIONER HALVERSON, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER WARREN, TO APPROVE THE HERITAGE RESOURCE MEETING DATES FOR 2023 MOTION CARRIED 5-0-0-2; COMMISSIONER AMMAN AND COMMISSIONER BENVENUTO EXCUSED Commissioner Warren reported that he will assess which of our historical sites have the numbered ovals and get back to David Crompton. 8.ADJOURNMENT The special meeting of the Danville Heritage Resource Commission was adjourned at 7:30 p.m. ___________________________________ ____________________________________ David Crompton, Chief of Planning Kristine Meidberg, Administrative Asst.
