Town Council – Regular Meeting SUMMARY OF ACTIONS September 20, 2022 - DRAFT 1. CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Danville Town Council was called to order by Mayor Arnerich at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, Danville, CA. Present: Newell Arnerich, Mayor Dave Fong, Councilmember Renee Morgan, Councilmember Karen Stepper, Councilmember Excused: Robert Storer, Vice Mayor 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Cat Bravo. 3. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes. 4. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN Marti Sutton, Tri Valley Nonprofit Alliance, presented information on the Alliance and discussed their mission and fundraising efforts. Lisa Blackwell, San Ramon Valley Education Foundation, invited the community to participate in the Run for Education and discussed how the funds were used that the Town granted to the Foundation. Monica Younghein expressed concern regarding speeding on Diablo Road from El Cerro two left turn lanes toward Camino Tassajara/Diablo Road traffic light. DANVILLE TOWN COUNCIL SUMMARY OF ACTIONS SEPTEMBER 20, 2022 Chuck Preas expressed opposition to the Town Council regarding pickleball ball courts proposed for Osage Station Park. William Welch expressed opposition to the Town Council regarding pickleball ball courts proposed for Osage Station Park. The following individual submitted a speaker card in opposition to pickleball ball courts proposed for Osage Station Park: Diane Prease 5. CONSENT CALENDAR 5.1Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the regular Town Council meeting of September 6, 2022 5.2Consider approval of the Register of Demands 5.3Consider acceptance of the July 2022 Month End Treasurer’s Report 5.4Consider adoption of Resolution No. 82-2022, approving the continued use of teleconferencing for the meetings of all Town legislative bodies other than the Town Council pursuant to the provisions of AB 361 5.5Consider adoption of Resolution No. 83-2022, approving Subdivision Map and Subdivision Improvement Agreement for Subdivision 9291, Magee Preserve, located at 2200 Blackhawk Road 5.6Consider adoption of Resolution No. 84-2022 approving the amended event date of the Relics on Railroad – Danville Antique & Art Faire 5.7 Consider adoption of Resolution No. 85-2022 approving a five-year extension of the contract with Townsend Public Affairs for legislative advocacy services through the Tri-Valley Cities Coalition 2 DANVILLE TOWN COUNCIL SUMMARY OF ACTIONS SEPTEMBER 20, 2022 MOTION BY COUNCILMEMBER MORGAN, SECOND BY COUNCILMEMBER FONG, TO APPROVE THE CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS 5.1 THROUGH 5.7 MOTION CARRIED 4-0-0-1; VICE MAYOR STORER EXCUSED 6. COMMUNICATIONS 6.1Annual Danville Farmers’ Market Manager report by Andrew Croft, Ariella Tiber and Ben Palazzolo, Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association (PCFMA) The members of the PCFMA provided the report. Mayor Arnerich opened the item to public comment. Chuck Preas commended the PCFMA on marketing efforts. Mayor Arnerich closed the item to public comment. 6.2Monthly Legislative Update by Management Analyst Cat Bravo Cat Bravo provided the report. 7. TOWN COUNCIL REPORTS 7.1Town Council updates Councilmembers provided updates on events and activities in Danville.
