CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Danville Town Council was called to order by Mayor Arnerich at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, Danville, CA. Mayor Arnerich introduced elementary school student Darius Khashabi as Mayor for the Day. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Councilmember Storer. 3. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA Town Manager Joe Calabrigo suggested removing item 9.3 from the agenda as there is nothing to report. 4. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN Anthony Romanelli submitted an email to the Town Council prior to the meeting expressing opposition to additional pickleball courts proposed for Osage Station Park. The following individuals did not speak and submitted speaker cards in opposition to additional pickleball courts proposed for Osage Station Park: Michael Mahoney Terri Costello DocuSign Envelope ID: E04FEOBF-159B-4FE6-A578-DE3BB6514FD2 DANVILLE TOWN COUNCIL SUMMARY OF ACTIONS SEPTEMBER 6, 2022 The following speakers expressed opposition to additional pickleball courts proposed for Osage Station Park: Julia Philbert Doug Collins Chuck Preas Man di Newton Diane Preas A speaker, no speaker card submitted, expressed concern regarding the effects of climate change and suggested environmentally friendly transportation alternatives. 5. PROCLAMATIONS 5.1 Presentation of a proclamation to Danville's 13 -year-old Little League Allstar Team Intermediate 2022 National Champions and 2022 World Series Champions Mayor Arnerich and the Town Council presented proclamations and trophies to the team and coaches. Judy Lloyd, Danville Area Chamber of Commerce, congratulated the team. 5.2 Reading of a proclamation by Mayor Arnerich proclaiming September 15 through October 15, 2022, as National Hispanic Heritage Month Mayor Arnerich read the proclamation. 6. TOWN MANAGER'S REPORT 7.1 Monthly Town Manager's report by Joe Calabrigo Joe Calabrigo provided the report. 8. ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF REPORTS (Public comment invited) 8.1 Consider adoption of Resolution No. 71-2022, adopting the Downtown Master Plan Update Assistant Town Manager Tai Williams presented the staff report and, along with Andrew Watkins, SWA Group, responded to questions from the Town Council. Mayor Arnerich opened the item to public comment. There were no speakers. Mayor Arnerich closed the item to public comment. MOTION BY COUNCILMEMBER MORGAN, SECOND BY VICE MAYOR STORER, TO ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 71-2022, ADOPTING THE DOWNTOWN MASTER PLAN UPDATE MOTION CARRIED 5-0 9.
