SUMMARY OF ACTIONS
August 16, 2022
1. STUDY SESSION
The publicly noticed study session of the Danville Town Council was called to
order by Mayor Arnerich at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street,
Danville, CA. and adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
2. PRESENTATIONS
2.1 Framework and Standards for the operation of Extended Temporary
Outdoor Restaurant Seating

4. CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Danville Town Council was called to order by Mayor
Arnerich at 7:25 p.m. in the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street, Danville, CA.
5. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Councilmember Stepper.
6. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA
Assistant Town Manager Tai Williams stated that agenda item 9.10 is being
withdrawn and not put forward for Town Council consideration.
7. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN
Charles Preas expressed concern regarding pickleball courts proposed for Osage
Station Park.

Judy Lloyd, Danville Area Chamber of Commerce, congratulated incumbents
Karen Stepper and Robert Storer on the uncontested November 8, 2022 municipal
election.
Rich Abers expressed concern regarding drainage, traffic and parking on West
Prospect Avenue.
Marilyn Koregelos expressed concern regarding downtown parking.
Corinne Marcu-Dioro, Dioro Jewelers, expressed concern regarding public safety
and submitted signatures in favor of increasing police patrols and cameras to
monitor activity.
8. PROCLAMATIONS
8.1 Presentation of a proclamation to April Rovero, Executive Director of the
National Coalition Against Prescription Drug Abuse and Shreya Sharma,
Youth Ambassador, proclaiming August 31, 2022, as International
Overdose Awareness Day
Mayor Arnerich presented the proclamation.
9. CONSENT CALENDAR
9.1 Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the regular Town
Council meeting of July 19, 2022
9.2 Consider approval of the Register of Demands
9.3 Consider acceptance of the June 2022 Month End Treasurer's Report
9.4 Consider adoption of Resolution No. 64-2022, approving the continued use
of teleconferencing for the meetings of all Town legislative bodies other
than the Town Council pursuant to the provisions of AB 361
9.5 Consider adoption of Resolution No. 65-2022, approving Subdivision Map
and Subdivision Improvement Agreement for Subdivision 9382, located at
805 and 813 La Gonda Way

9.8 Consider adoption of Resolution No. 68-2022, designating 178 E. Prospect
Avenue as a Danville Heritage Resource and granting a Heritage Resource
Incentive Package
9.9 Consider adoption of Resolution No. 69-2022, authorizing the Town

date of the Danville Town Council from December 6 to December 13, 2022

10.1 City Clerk to announce recruitment for 12 volunteer positions open to
Danville residents for terms beginning January 1, 2023:
10.1.1 Poet Laureate: Youth position for term ending June 30, 2025
10.1.2 Heritage Resource Commission: three regular members and one
alternate member for 4 -year terms
10.1.3 Planning Commission: three regular members for 4 -year terms;
one alternate member for term ending Dec. 31, 2024
10.1.4 Design Review Board: two regular members and one alternate
member for 4 -year terms

City Clerk Marie Sunseri announced the recruitments.
11. ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF REPORTS (Public comment invited)
11.1 Consider adoption of Resolution No. 71-2022, adopting the Downtown
Master Plan Update
Business and Economic Development Director Jill Bergman presented the
staff report and, along with Andrew Watkins, SWA Group, responded to
questions from the Town Council
Mayor Arnerich opened the item to public comment.
There were no speakers.
Mayor Arnerich closed the item to public comment.
Assistant Town Manager Tai Williams provided information on
intersection and roadway design.
The Town Council provided comments on the Update and continued the
item to the meeting of September 6, 2022.
12. TOWN COUNCIL REPORTS
12.1 Senior Advisory Commission liaison report by Councilmember Stepper
Councilmember Stepper provided the report.
12.2 Danville Area Chamber of Commerce liaison report by Mayor Arnerich and
Vice Mayor Storer

Councilmembers provided updates on events and activities in Danville.
