HomeMy WebLinkAbout090622-06.08ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF REPORT 6.8 TO: Mayor and Town Council September 6, 2022 SUBJECT: Resolution No. 77-2022, appropriating funds and authorizing execution of a contract for third-party review of the Stormwater Management Plan for the condominium project located at 600 Hartz Avenue (DEV21-0013) BACKGROUND The ADDRESS Company has submitted preliminary Stormwater Management Plans for the approved Development Plan application DP 21-0013, which allows for the development of a mixed-use commercial and 37-unit condominium development at 600 Hartz Avenue. DISCUSSION The applicant is required to have a third-party engineering service review the Stormwater Management Plan. The Town will manage the consultant expenses associated with the work which will be borne by the project applicant. The applicant will submit funds to the Town equivalent to the cost of the consultant’s contract, and the Town will disburse funds consistent with the terms of the contract. The Town selected Terraphase Engineering, Inc. of Oakland, California as the third-party consultant for the project. The contract amount of $12,063, with an additional 15% contingency in the amount of $1,810 to be reserved for the third-party review, results in a budget of $13,873. PUBLIC CONTACT Posting of the meeting agenda serves as notice to the general public. FISCAL IMPACT None. All costs associated with the third-party review will be borne by the applicant, Address Company. Appropriation of funds to pay for the review will not result in a fiscal impact to the Town. Prepared by: Bob Russell Landscape Architect Reviewed by: Tai Williams Assistant Town Manager Attachment: Resolution No. 77-2022 RESOLUTION NO. 77-2022 APPROPRIATING FUNDS AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR THIRD-PARTY REVIEW OF THE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR THE CONDOMINIUM PROJECT LOCATED AT 600 HARTZ AVENUE (DEV21-0013) WHEREAS, the Town of Danville Planning Commission approved Development Plan application DEV21-0013 allowing a mixed-use commercial and 37-unit condominium project located at 600 Hartz Avenue: and WHEREAS, the services of a third-party consultant are needed for the Town to plan check the Stormwater Management Plan for the development; and WHEREAS, the applicant is required to pay plan check fees for the Stormwater Management Plan; and WHEREAS, after soliciting proposals for professional third-party review services for the Stormwater Management Plan, the Town desires to enter into a contract for plan review services with Terraphase Engineering, Inc.; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council authorizes the Town Manager to execute an agreement with Terraphase Engineering, Inc. for third-party plan review services; and be it further RESOLVED, that the contract amount of $12,063 with an additional 15% contingency in the amount of $1,810 for a total amount of $13,873 is appropriated for the review of the Stormwater Control Management Plan and Drainage Study.
