2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA
There were no changes to the Order of the Agenda.
3. “FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN”
Alesia Strauch, Danville, commented regarding concern for the public using
Danville’s public school fields as off-leash dog parks. She has noticed dogs off-
leash on school field parks at Greenbrook, John Baldwin, and Sycamore. Dogs
have been off-leash coming into school classrooms during school hours, using the
school parks during school hours, and using the fields while sports practices are
taking place. She volunteered at John Baldwin and there were 3 incidents of
school-age children being sent to the office to call their parents as there is dog
excrement on their shoes and clothing. Alesia is asking for more support from the
Commission and the Town of Danville regarding this issue with the suggestion of
more police department VIP involvement and requesting more signage to follow
the Town’s ordinance of no dogs off-leash at public schools.
