Town Council - Regular Meeting
SUMMARY OF ACTIONS
April 19, 2022
1. CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Danville Town Council was called to order by Mayor
Arnerich at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was conducted by teleconference only.
1.1 Roll Call
City Clerk Marie Sunseri conducted the roll call for attendance.
Present: Newell Arnerich, Mayor

City Clerk Marie Sunseri provided information regarding the format of the
meeting and instructions for public comment.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Leah Martinez.

There were no changes to the order of the agenda.

Volunteer Recognition Month

7.1 Recruitment announcement by City Clerk Marie Sunseri for one Danville
Youth Poet Laureate position for term beginning July 1, 2022
Marie Sunseri announced the recruitment.
7.2 Legislative update by Deputy Town Manager Diane Friedmann
Diane Friedmann provided the update.
8. ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF REPORTS (Public comment invited)
8.1 Consider adoption of Resolution No. 27-2022, authorizing the installation
of traffic calming measures on Greenbrook Drive, St. Christopher Drive, St.
David Drive and Harlan Drive
Transportation Manager Andrew Dillard presented the staff report.
Mayor Arnerich opened the item to public comment.
Written correspondence was received from the following individuals and
provided to the Town Council prior to the meeting:
Marcia Beersdorf opposed the bicycle route sign proposed at the
intersection of Harlan Drive and Greenbrook Drive.
David Bronsen expressed concern regarding the exemption of speed lumps
on the east section of St. David Drive.
The following speakers addressed the Town Council:
Faye Isaacson expressed concern regarding speeding on Harlan Drive.

Anastasia (no last name given) expressed concern regarding speeding on
Greenbrook Drive and requested adding 25 mph pavement legends in the
vicinity of Mustang Drive.
Mayor Arnerich closed the item to public comment.
Mr. Dillard responded to public comments.

STEPPER, TO ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 27-2022, AUTHORIZING THE
INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES ON GREENBROOK DRIVE, ST.
CHRISTOPHER DRIVE, ST. DAVID DRIVE AND HARLAN DRIVE; INCLUDING
NEIGHBORHOOD RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SIGN PLACEMENT
MOTION CARRIED 5-0
