LEds: efficient, but at what cost?
The damage caused to biological organisms by “Cold” light is greater than “Warm” light
Recommended CCT:
International Dark Sky <3000K
Softlight research <2700K
Wildlife experts <2200K

Studies show that the Blue, cold light is the main driver of biological disruption and insect apoecalypse
LED lighting saves energy and is very adjustable, but it has created a technology that can be unsafe for humans and for wildlife.
In this slide, you can see that LED light has pronounced peaks in the blue, cold range
2700 Kelvin and less has a smaller blue peak.
Recommendations by the International Dark Sky Society are for no more than 3000. Softlight, a group that focuses on mental health and impacts to people on the spectrum, recommend no
more than 2700, and even less for public places like parking lots and parks. 2400 max there.
