You mentioned I could follow up with you to discuss our concerns about the "east" section of St. David Drive traffic plans. To remind you of the concerns I brought up, there is a section of St. David Drive (the east section that adjoins Harlan Drive) that has a downward hill slope to a blind curve of St. David Drive which lacks any traffic bumps. In our family and other families' observations living right by the entrance to St. Luke Court many drivers tend to accelerate and gain speed down that section of St. David Drive. It seemed a bit incomplete to stop at just putting only speed bumps on half of St. David Drive (west side) as it seemed at some point traffic needed calming on St. David Drive. I can assure you drivers travel much too fast on all sections of St. David Drive, not just the west section of St. David Drive. Furthermore I know you said some families did not agree to the traffic calming on the east part of St. David Drive so that is why only half of St. David Drive had speedbumps; however I can share with you we've lived 9 years on St. Luke Court and several families on the east section of St. David Drive have changed and may have differing views/opinions than the predecessor who previously owned their house did. Mostly because younger children now live in those house and use that section of St. David Drive to walk, scooter, and bike down St. David Drive to St. Luke Court to access the greenbelt walking path to school twice a day as well as play along the creek and greenbelt area. It is concerning the rate of speed we've seen driver go down that hill/grade of St. David Drive mixed with younger kids sharing that roadway. It would be wise to reconsider exempting the speedbumps from the east section of St. David Drive. If you would like to speak over the phone or ZOOM I'd be more than happy to accommodate, I have availability Thursday 4/14 or Friday 4/15. I appreciate again all your effort and hard work into this project and study. Thank you! -David Bronsen (cell 925-202-9305)
