SUMMARY OF ACTIONS
March 15, 2022 - DRAFT
1. CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Danville Town Council was called to order by Mayor
Arnerich at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was conducted by teleconference only.
1.1 Roll Call
City Clerk Marie Sunseri conducted the roll call for attendance.
Present: Newell Arnerich, Mayor
Robert Storer, Vice Mayor
Dave Fong, Councilmember
Renee Morgan, Councilmember
Karen Stepper, Councilmember
1.2 Announcements
City Clerk Marie Sunseri provided information regarding the format of the
meeting and instructions for public comment.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Allan Shields.
3. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA
There were no changes to the order of the agenda.

5. PRESENTATIONS AND PROCLAMATIONS
5.1 Presentation of a proclamation to April Rovero, Executive Director,
National Coalition Against Prescription Drug Abuse, proclaiming March
2022 Prescription Drug Abuse Awareness Month
Mayor Arnerich read the proclamation and opened the item to public
comment.
Gita Bahramipour, Contra Costa County Alcohol and Drug Advisory
Board, expressed appreciation to the Town.
5.2 Reading of a proclamation by Mayor Arnerich proclaiming March 2022
National Disabilities Awareness Month
Mayor Arnerich read the proclamation.

6. CONSENT CALENDAR
6.1 Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the regular Town
Council meeting of March 1, 2022
6.2 Consider approval of the Register of Demands
6.3 Consider acceptance of the January 2022 Month End Treasurer’s Report
6.4 Consider adoption of Ordinance No. 2022-02, adding a new Section 2-16 to
the Danville Municipal Code establishing a Bicycle Advisory Commission
6.5 Consider adoption of Resolution No. 19-2022, awarding a contract for
Roadside Landscape Maintenance Services
6.6 Consider adoption of Resolution No. 20-2022, awarding a contract for
Lighting and Landscape District 1983-1, Zone D – Park Maintenance

6.7 Consider adoption of Resolution No. 21-2022, awarding a professional

7. COMMUNICATIONS
7.1 Recruitment announcement by City Clerk Marie Sunseri for 12 positions for
terms beginning July 1, 2022:
A. Bicycle Advisory Commission: three regular members for 4-year
terms; two regular members for 2-year terms; and one Youth
Commissioner for a 2-year term
B. Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission: four regular members for
4-year terms

C. Danville Representatives on the Contra Costa County Library
Commission: one regular member and one alternate member for 4-
year terms
City Clerk Marie Sunseri announced the recruitment.
7.2 Quarterly Police Department report by Police Chief Allan Shields
Allan Shields provided the report.
Mayor Arnerich opened the item to public comment.
Veronica Benjamin posed several questions and Chief Shields responded.
7.3 Legislative Update by Deputy Town Manager Diane Friedmann
Diane Friedmann provided the report.
