Danville Heritage Resource Commission – Special Meeting Summary of Actions January 10, 2022 1. CALL TO ORDER The special meeting of the Danville Heritage Resource Commission was called to order by Chair Holmes at 7:05 p.m. The meeting was conducted by teleconference only. 1.1 Roll Call Administrative Assistant Kristine Meidberg conducted the roll call for attendance: Present: Mike Ammann, Commissioner Lee Halverson, Commissioner Mark Graham, Commissioner James Powers, Commissioner Jerry Warren, Commissioner Kathryn Benvenuto, Vice Chair Kim Holmes, Chair Excused: None 1.2 Announcements Administrative Assistant Kristine Meidberg provided information regarding the format of the meeting and instructions for public comment. 2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. Danville Heritage Resource Commission – Special Meeting Summary of Actions January 10, 2022 - Draft 2 3. “FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN” – To address the Heritage Resource Commission about a subject which is not listed on the agenda, click on the "Raise Your Hand" option in Zoom. Your name will be announced and you will have up to three (3) minutes to share your comments. There were no public comments. Chair Holmes welcomed Town Council Member Renee Morgan back as the liaison to the Heritage Resource Commission. 4. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION/ACTION 4.1 Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the December 13, 2021, Heritage Resource Commission Special meeting. MOTION BY COMMISSIONER GRAHAM, SECOND BY VICE CHAIR BENVENUTO TO APPROVE THE SUMMARY OF ACTIONS FROM THE DECEMBER 13, 2021, HERITAGE RESOURCE COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING MOTION CARRIED 7-0 5. NEW BUSINESS 5.1 Progress report from the Commission’s Historic Survey Subcommittee (m. Ammann, M. Graham, L. Halverson). Commissioner Halverson updated the commission on the problems he is experiencing when using the historic walk app, PocketSights. Many of the other Commissioners are experiencing the same problems. The Commission would like to continue to test the app and set up a time to do a field trip. 5.2 Progress report from the Commissions Outreach/Education Subcommittee (K. Benvenuto, K. Holmes, J. Powers, J. Warren). Chair Holmes would like to get a date on the calendar to unveil the Tatcan Bay Miwok Indian Plaque. Chair Holmes would like to explore the possibility of changing Commissioner Ammann’s title to a regular Commissioner not an Alternate Commissioner. Chief of Planning, David Crompton, explained that the Danville Heritage Resource Commission – Special Meeting Summary of Actions January 10, 2022 - Draft 3 make-up of the Commission is outlined in the ordinance but he will investigate it further. He will also look into the possibility of adding a Youth Commissioner. 6. REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS 6.1 Commissioner Reports There were no commission reports or communications 7.
