Design Review Board Meeting Summary February 10, 2022 1. CALL TO ORDER The special meeting of the Danville Design Review Board was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chair Combs. The meeting was conducted by teleconference only. 1.1 Roll Call Roll call was conducted for attendance: Present: Mark Belotz, Board Member Robert Combs, Chair Afshan Hamid, Board Member Lou Palandrani, Vice Chair Chris Trujillo, Board Member Kevin Wong, Board Member 1.2 Announcements Information was provided on the format of the meeting and instructions for public comment. 2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 3. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN There were no public comments received. 4. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION/ACTION 4.1 Election of 2022 Design Review Board Chair 2 Board Member Palandrani was elected as the 2022 Chair 4.2 Election of 2022 Design Review Board Vice Chair Board Member Hamid was elected as the 2022 Vice Chair 4.3 Consider the approval of the January 27, 2022, Meeting Summary. The January 27, 2022, Meeting Summary was approved. 5. PUBLIC HEARINGS 5.1 Review and recommend approval of the architectural design, landscape plans, and the color and material board for Development Plan request DEV21-0012 to allow a new 3,395 square foot two-story commercial building combining two existing parcels. The site is located at 212 Front Street (Project Planner: David Crompton). David Crompton, Chief of Planning, presented the staff report. Galen Grant, FCGA Architecture and Andrew Katakis, Capital Equity Management group presented the architectural and landscape plans. There were no public comments received. Vice Chair Hamid joins the meeting. Decision: The Design Review Board recommended the Planning Commission approve the project and requested composite shingle roofing, and that final colors be provided as a mock-up on the building prior to final approval. 5.2 Review and approve the architectural design, landscape plans, and the color and material board for Development Plan request DEV22-0001 to allow for a new single-family residence located at 64 Noble Oaks Drive (Project Planner: Riley Anderson-Barrett). There were no public comments received. Riley Anderson-Barrett, Assistant Planner, presented the staff report. 3 PJ Dhoot and Premdip Dhoot, Haven Development Applicant, and Adam Gardner, Architect WHA Inc., presented. Justin Joseph, Civil Engineer, Annika Carpenter, Landscape Architect, and Vanessa, Architect were also in attendance. Board Member Combs exited the meeting. Decision: The Design Review Board approved the architectural design, landscape plans, and the color and material boards with the caveat that the color and material board will receive a further review from Design Review Board members. 6. REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS 6.1 Board Member Reports Chair Palandrani recommended closing of the project located at 1288 Lawrence Road and approving final constituents regarding the color board. This project was previously brought to and approved by the Design Review Board on January 27, 2022. 7. ADJOURNMENT The special meeting of the Danville Design Review Board was adjourned at 6:14 p.m.
