HomeMy WebLinkAboutASRDRB20220127 5.2 DESIGN REVIEW BOARD STAFF REPORT 5.2 TO: Design Review Board Members January 27, 2022 SUBJECT: Review and recommend the Planning Commission approve the architectural design, landscape plans, and the color and material board for Development Plan request DEV21-0015 to allow for a new single-family residence located at 1288 Lawrence Road. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project includes a Development Plan request (DEV21-0015) for approval of architectural elevations, landscape plans, and material and colors for the development of a new 3,979 square foot single-story single-family residence with a 1,324 square foot attached garage located at 1288 Lawrence Road. EVALUATION Architecture  The development criteria are consistent with R-100 Single-Family Residential Zoning District.  This property is located within a Scenic Hillside and Major Ridgeline area, however no development will take place in the areas designated as Scenic Hillside or Major Ridgeline.  The architectural style is modern with colors and materials that are similar to others the Design Review Board has approved of in the past.  Siding is a light beige stucco and a medium-toned cedar siding. Trim is black wood, and door and windows are black metal. Landscape  Trees to be planted are 15-gallon and 24” containers in size and the shrubs are 5- gallon in size. 1288 Lawrence Road – Development Plan 2 January 27, 2022  The Town is satisfied with the proposed landscape plan. The landscape treatment is somewhat consistent with the design of other approved landscape treatments in the area. RECOMMENDATION Recommend the Planning Commission approve the architectural design, landscaping, and the color and material board for Development Plan request DEV21-0015 to allow for a new single-family residence located at 1288 Lawrence Road.
