December 21, 2021
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Danville Town Council was called to order by Mayor Arnerich at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was conducted by teleconference only.

City Clerk Marie Sunseri provided information regarding the format of the meeting and instructions for public comment.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Vice Mayor Storer.

There were no changes to the order of the agenda.

City Clerk Marie Sunseri stated that public comment was received from 350 Contra Costa and was distributed to the Town Council in advance of the meeting.

PUBLIC HEARINGS
Consider adoption of Ordinance No. 2021-05, an urgency ordinance temporarily suspending outdoor seating limitations for restaurant uses within the Town of Danville, authorizing extension
of temporary land use permits and extending street closures with a waiver of Danville Ordinance No. 96-10
Chief of Planning David Crompton presented the staff report and responded to questions from the Town Council. In order to allow for uninterrupted extension of the temporary land use
permits, the ordinance must be adopted as an urgency ordinance, which requires approval of 4/5s of the Council.
Mayor Arnerich opened the item to public comment.

The Town Council discussed concerns related to the restaurants and parklets, and directed staff to highlight areas of concern in the ordinance. There was consensus to extend the Temporary
Land Use Permits.

FOR RESTAURANT USES WITHIN THE TOWN OF DANVILLE, AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF TEMPORARY LAND USE PERMITS AND EXTENDING STREET CLOSURES WITH A WAIVER OF DANVILLE ORDINANCE NO. 96-10; EXTEND
