To whom it may concern: My name is Peter Vandersloot and I am writing in response to the request for feedback on thepending permit for Project MS852-2019, at 2434 Tassajara Lane. My wife, children and I live at2441 Tassajara Lane, Danville. One houses up from the lot in question. This is the third time the owners of this particular lot have petitioned to make the parcel situatedfor two independent residences, and my point of view has not changed since I sent in our initialfeedback. We purchased our home on this particular road for the larger lot sizes and the spaced out rusticfeel of the drive and neighborhood. Starting to split up the land and crowd the area destroysthe charm of the location, and we start to be more like our over crowded neighboring citieswhich is not the reason we have all chosen to live here in Danville. That lot does not have the square footage to accommodate it being split into two parcels andhave them both reflect the standards of the neighborhood, nor do we have the available streetparking. The loss of protected trees they cut down is already a negative drag on the curb appealand I am disappointed they were allowed to cut them all down. As it is, the construction blocksour mailboxes on a daily basis and the area looks crowded. I can only imagine what it will looklike when the new residents, their children, and parents all move in. Let alone potential futurerenters or second owners if the lot is split. Beyond the issue of property value, look and feel, crowding and traffic, which each on their ownmerit a decline of this permit, I feel it was incredibly dishonest how the builder and owners havegone about this after their initial permit was denied to do this. It feels like they feel they areabove your initial decision, and are above the decision of the Town. Lastly, when I directly asked the builder and the family of future residents what they planned forthe property, I was lied to, and I hear many other neighbors were also lied to as well, so thebuilder could proceed with their plans without us raising alarms to the city. I find this frustrating
and not reflective of the community standards we have here in Danville. I respectfully, but firmly, request this petition as it stands be denied, and also stronglyrecommend that regular inspection be done by the city of the project as I get the sense thebuilder has experience working around our systems. Sincerely, Pete Vandersloot
