CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Danville Town Council was called to order by Mayor Morgan at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was conducted by teleconference only. 1.1 Roll Call City Clerk Marie Sunseri conducted the roll call for attendance. Present: Renee Morgan, Mayor Newell Arnerich, Vice Mayor Dave Fong, Councilmember Karen Stepper, Councilmember Robert Storer, Councilmember 1.2 Announcements City Clerk Marie Sunseri provided information regarding the format of the meeting and instructions for public comment. She stated that no written public comments were received on any item on the agenda in advance of this meeting. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Lani Ha. 3. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 4. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN Al, resident of Shadow Hills subdivision, expressed concern regarding the Town's tree ordinance. TOWN MANAGER'S REPORT 6.1 Monthly Town Manager's report by Joe Calabrigo Joe Calabrigo provided the report. 7. The following speakers expressed support for the item and appreciation to the Town for funding. Caitlin Sly, Meals on Wheels Diablo Region Kathy Chiverton, Discovery Counseling Center Judy Lloyd, Danville Area Chamber of Commerce Mayor Morgan closed the item to public comment. Councilmember Storer suggested that the Town Council have an opportunity to provide input on the second tranche; make the donation to homeless services in memory of Tyrell Wilson and his family; and, consider earmarking funds for restaurants to offset costs of the downtown parklets. Councilmember Stepper suggested that the Town Council consider different programs, partnerships and projects in the non-profit community for the second tranche. Councilmember Fong expressed support for the Town's commitment to mental illness and the health and safety of the Danville community. Vice Mayor Arnerich expressed support for the resolution and donating funding for homeless services in memory of Tyrell Wilson. Mayor Morgan expressed support for allocating funding to the programs, projects and partnerships for the betterment of the entire Danville community and earmarking funding to benefit all homeless and those suffering from mental illness in our community. MOTION BY VICE MAYOR ARNERICH, SECOND BY COUNCILMEMBER STEPPER, TO ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 60-2021, EXTENDING AND AMENDING THE EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT OF THE TOWN MANAGER MOTION CARRIED 5-0 7.3 Consider adoption of Resolution No. 61-2021, extending and amending the Employment Agreement of the City Attorney Mayor Morgan opened the item to public comment.
