HomeMy WebLinkAbout090821-4.2 PARKS, RECREATION AND ARTS COMMISSION STAFF REPORT 4.2 TO: Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission September 8, 2021 SUBJECT: Consider revision of the approved Parks, Recreation, and Arts Commission Special Meeting Start Times BACKGROUND At its July 14, 2021, Commission meeting, the Parks, Recreation, and Arts Commission approved meeting dates for 2022 and meeting times. In addition, the Commission approved that it meets regularly on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm in the Town Meeting Hall. Furthermore, under the Governor’s Executive Order N-29-20, the Commission may also utilize teleconferencing for their meetings as a precaution to protect the health and safety of staff, officials, and the general public.  The Commission also approved that any special meetings would take place on the same dates as the regularly scheduled meeting at 5:00 pm on Zoom's web-video communication platform. Those special meeting times were initially established during the height of the response to COVID-19 considering that most were working remotely from home which made an earlier start time more convenient to all. DESCRIPTION With more people heading back to workplaces and no longer working as much remotely the Commission is being asked to review and discuss the special meeting start time of 5:00 pm and consider if any revisions to the start time are needed. RECOMMENDATION Review, discuss and consider any revisions of the approved Parks, Recreation, and Arts Commission special meeting start times.
