Town Council – Regular Meeting
SUMMARY OF ACTIONS
August 3, 2021 – DRAFT
1. CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Danville Town Council was called to order by Mayor
Morgan at 5:03 p.m. The meeting was conducted by teleconference only.
1.1Roll Call
City Clerk Marie Sunseri conducted the roll call for attendance.
Present: Renee Morgan, Mayor
Newell Arnerich, Vice Mayor
Dave Fong, Councilmember
Karen Stepper, Councilmember (arrived at 5:05 p.m.)
Robert Storer, Councilmember
1.2 Announcements
City Clerk Marie Sunseri provided information regarding the format of the
meeting and instructions for public comment. She stated that all public comments
received by the Town were distributed to the Town Council prior to the meeting.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Rob Ewing.
3. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA
There were no changes to the order of the agenda.

The following speakers commented on the incident with the Danville Police
Department that occurred on March 11, 2021:

5. CONSENT CALENDAR
5.1Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the regular Town
Council meeting of July 6, 2021
5.2Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the regular Town
Council meeting of July 20, 2021
5.3Consider approval of the Register of Demands
5.4Consider adoption of Resolution No. 42-2021, awarding a construction
contract for Brookside Drive ADA Improvements, CIP No. A-064
5.5Consider adoption of Resolution No. 43-2021, approving Minor
Subdivision Map and Subdivision Improvement Agreement for Minor
Subdivision 851-2020, located at 1475 Lawrence Road
5.6Consider adoption of Resolution No. 44-2021, authorizing Community
Events Street Closures or Parking Restrictions for Calendar Year 2021 and
for the Ridge Hike for Prevention in Calendar Year 2022; and, Resolution
No. 45-2021, authorizing Exemption from Danville Ordinance No. 96-10 for
Danville Fallfest on October 23 and 24, 2021
Mayor Morgan stated that there were several emails provided to the Town Council in
support of approving agenda item 5.6 and the staff recommendation to Town Council is
for approval of the street closures.
MOTION BY COUNCILMEMBER STORER, SECOND BY COUNCILMEMBER FONG,
TO APPROVE THE CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS 5.1 THROUGH 5.6
MOTION CARRIED 5-0

6. TOWN COUNCIL REPORTS
6.1Town Council updates
Mayor Morgan stated that the Town Council will be participating in
National Night Out tonight, August 3, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. in several Danville
neighborhoods.
Mayor Morgan encouraged the community to tune in to Town Talks on
Zoom this Friday, August 6, 2021, at 9:00 a.m.
7. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting of the Danville Disaster Council was adjourned at 5:18 p.m.
